Health Booster with Ba Duan Jin Qigong

Ba Duan Jin Qigong is a set of traditional Chinese exercises combining calisthenics, stretching and breathing. The name of the exercise represents eight sets of rules, which, when put together, are health regimen tips. The focus of the exercise is to improve a number of areas, including performance of organs, stress release, prevention of muscle strains, degeneration and pain on shoulder, neck, chest, spine, hip and legs. Chinese Medicine and Health Regimen in Four Seasons

There are four seasons in a year, with rules governing what are best to do in each season. The 24 solar terms include Spring Commences, Spring Showers, Insects Waken, Vernal Equinox, Bright and Clear, Corn Rain, Summer Commences, Corn Forms, Corn on Ear, Summer Solstice, Moderate Heat, Great Heat, Autumn Commences, End of Heat, White Dew, Autumnal Equinox, Cold Dew, Frost, Winter Commences, Light Snow, Heavy Snow, Winter Solstice, Moderate Cold and Severe Cold. During time of spring and summer, the flow of Yang increases and the weather is humid and hot; as for autumn and winter time, weather becomes cooler and drier. Seasonal Chinese Tonic Soup

Tonic soup is good at balancing the effects coming from different environmental factors like wind, chill, damp, heat and dryness as the seasons move. It can also nourish and warm the body. According to the Five Elements Theory, different organs need to be nourished under different seasons.
